Like anywhere there will be better but don't write Thailand off altogether, I bet they have some amazing tatto artist's there. A decent tatoo studio should look like a clinic, stainless steel surfaces, very clean and professional. Hey Calum, not disagreeing with aussieguy totally, yeah the hygiene standards in Oz will be better but don't write Thailand off altogether, I bet they have some amazing tatto artist's there. You will learn to keep it covered/protected till the scabs have gone, which requires bandage changes Best you wait until aus. Even mild sun exposure will cause it problems and hurt more than the tatooing. Tatoos do rate as minor surgery. You can have enuf problems while they heal with out taking extra chances. I would recommend waiting till Oz.
